[2004-03-28 - 2:12 p.m.] - a few definitions

lise updated so I have to update.

there's no time, anywhere, between work and school, but despite that spring is in full swing. the stetch of lawn outside my apartment is covered in wildflowers-- dandelions and violets and these strange little white flowers that me & fly couldn't identify, pouring over her Audubon Society Guide to North American Wildflowers. so that I've decided to call them K-Town Kickers. or perhaps Mary. something nice, easy to spell.

another east tennessee anomaly!: a cat in Greenville (devon's hometown, so, there you go) has mated with an opossum and produced opossum-cats. catssums. opocats. little kittens with snouts and rat tails. the world is changing, y'all.

but, yes, really, there's no time.

there's always a schedule and itinerary to follow. which is depressing, but it won't always be like this. elizabeth thinks I might be anemic, too, and that's why I'm exhausted all the time; so she's making me go to the campus clinic where they're going to extract, I think, three pints of blood and use one pint to test for anemia and the other two to make a concotion that will allow them to transport into my apartment while I'm sleeping and build a cocoon around my bed, and I'll wake up inside this whitish mass and I won't be able to breath well and I'll hear their gravel-voiced incantations but no one will be able to hear my screams.

is what I think happens at the campus clinic. so. goodbye.
