[2003-12-09 - 12:45 a.m.] - what can be trusted (chicken)
Fly and I went out to Ryan's All-U-Can-Eat Buffet. God, I love Ryan's. For $6.99 you can get:
chicken!, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, black-eyes peas, yeast rolls, honey butter, catfish, baked ham, cherry pie, chicken pot pie, salad w/ fresh spinach leaves, more gravy, cottage cheese, peaches, pears, cantelope, cakes, cookies, & soft-serve ice cream. plus so many things that I didn't get.
and you get complimentary coffee after your meal. free coffee, y'all. you can't get that just anywhere. only banks and hotels and some doctors' offices and most places of employment.
Fly and I commiserated over dinner about how we're so hot that we overload the thermometers in people's brains, incapacitating them and rendering them unable to react to our hotness. Then we discussed Edgar Allen Poe and Anton Chekhov. then I made a picture of a lady out of little shrimps and spinach leaves!
also, we went to see Elf, the Will Ferrell movie. Dust doesn't like Will Ferrell, but I can't help it. His eyes twinkle.
As we were leaving the theatre, we noticed that the lobby was completely empty. Fly did that empty ghost town whistle thing. And then played in the empty theatre lobby because nobody was gonna stop us. We made an obstacle course out of those velvety rope things and then we fucked with the clerk area; but we didn't harm or take anything. Fly and I aren't very good at running amok. We're good kids. In a hot way.
and, so, coupled with writing a 1500 word paper on "Gooseberries" and "The Lady with the Little Dog" by Anton Chekhov, a slight emotional breakdown, and reading this amazing HP comic-- today has been a very full day indeed.
We just gotta get out of our houses sometimes, guys. we gonna be alright. Love.
