When I was young, I read Marvel's Infinity Crusade limited series. Basically, it was a cheap follow-up to the successful Infinity Gauntlet limited series. What happened was: there was this guy, right, and he was God. But he didn't want to be God, so he pushed the God out of himself, and was just this guy named Adam.

I think that's what happened. It's been a while. So, but: the God part of him went out into the world and splintered into Good and Bad. The Bad Part hassled Adam, and, I don't know, got sent to another dimension or some other crap that this comic book company concocts to defeat God.

The Good Part turned into this crazy zealot lady.

So, but. The plot of the series was this: crazy zealot lady divided all of earth's heroes into two categories-- religious, and not religious. Wolverine and Mr.Fantastic were in the areligious group, and Storm and the Invisible Woman were in the religious group.
