[2000-12-31 - 15:04:20] - waiting gives the devil time.
I'm only slightly cold, and I have a collared shirt tied around my waist that I could wear. I don't smell like me today. Because I showered with Dustin's toiletries and my shirt is infused with White's cigarette smoke.
Regardless. Me, I surely am. Or, y'know. I could be you.
Wouldn't that be funky? And you come back to your life five minutes later, and you can't figure out what's gone on, because *I've* been there. And you're like, dude, where's my car?
I'm waaaiting.
I'm waiting for my breakfast to digest, mostly, and also for Devon and Dustin to come up the stairs and say, erin, we're leaving, or we're staying.
"Perhaps when people say 'can I stay?' what they're really asking is 'can't I go?'"
That's not an accurate quote. I'm not in the neighborhood of my quote book, and I can't quote Kaylee like I can quote Lise, so you'll just have to make due.
This is the thing. We're supposed to drive from here-- Morristown, TN-- to there-- Beauford, SC-- and we were supposed to have left nine minutes ago. But there are concerns about the roads, about the snows, about how people come and go. I think what we decided we were going to do is go out, just a little ways, into town, and look for a sign as to what should be done, and then come back here.
But, that also takes waiting. And I think Dustin's in the shower.
But. Now is for walking in the snow.
Happy New Year.
